The FINAL FANTASY XIV Announcement Showcase is on Friday, February 5 showcased the version 6.0 ENDWALKER coming this fall. Here are a few notable updates coming to the next version of FF14.
Final Fantasy XIV ENDWALKER Updates
A Higher Level Cap
FF14 Endwalker will allow higher levels of up to 90. During the announcement there was mentioned of reducing the point system. While more information is to come, it appears there will be reduced HP for bosses while there is a reduction in Attack hits from characters. So it seems like a percentage reduction in numbers proportion to all monsters, bosses and characters.
- The differences in values will be reduced between levels 51 – 80.
- Max Damage per attack will be reduced.
- Experience points will be reduced.
They went on to mention that your character will not be weaker.
We are looking to learn more with more updates.
Introduction of Sage Healer to FF14 Endwalker
Sage is one of two new roles being introduced to FF14 ENDWALKER. Sage is a healer that uses a 4 drone like weapon called “Nouliths”. They seem to have a decent ability to heal players while they look very offensive in attacks to enemies.
It appears Sages will be able to heal, build barriers, fight using Aether and augment their own magic abilities. More on this new role is expected to be introduced in future events.

Estinien the Legendary Dragoon
We are not fully sure yet how but the Legendary Dragoon, Estinien is suppose to have a role in your characters game play in the coming update.
New City Introduction of Radz-at-han
Raids & Side Quests
It was announced that there would be new alliance raids & new side quests for crafters and gathers in Endwalker.
Improvements and changes to FF14
It was reported that there would be more updates to the game experience of ff14, including:
- Attack Slots will be changed
- Lightning fast Teleports
- Lightning fast load times during gameplay
- A high resolution interface for ff14
- 4k resolution support for FF14
- significantly improved frame rates during gameplay
- Improved Performance for epic battles
- Removing Belts – Belts will no longer be equipped starting 6.0
Island Sanctuary on FF14 6.0
Island Sanctuary is the most curious update for Endwalker. The island Sanctuary will allow you to go and create on the land. So think of it as a non fighting area to it with the ability to sell what you create there.
FF14 comes to PS5
According to the event, FF14 will be coming to PS5 with an open beta coming this April 2021. They mentioned that players with FF14 services accounts registered for PS4 will be able to download the PS5 version at no extra cost. Monthly Subscriptions will still be required to play ff14 on PS5 like all other versions or platforms.
Open Beta for PS5 begins on April 13, 2021.
Final Fantasy Festival on May 15 & 16 2021
This May, stay tuned to more updates and reveals for Final Fantasy XIV ENDWALKER at the Final Fantasy Festival. It is expected to be a bigger dive in to all the announcements for Endwalker. Hopefully during the event, we will learn about the second role to be introduced in the coming update, as well as more about the Island Sanctuary being brought to version 6.0.
