Sony’s week long event outlined their new console prices, with the PlayStation 5 Console at $499 and the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition Console for $399, comes without a disc drive.
November 12th is the set release date for the PS5. That gives PlayStation a couple of months to hype their new platform even further. The PS5 will be available in November to South Korea, Australia, Mexico, New Zealand, Canada, Japan, and the US. It will then provide the PS5 to the world on November 19th.
Event Showcases New Final Fantasy FF16
There are big developments going on and this was apparent during the new PlayStation 5 showcase. PlayStation has released a slew of awesome new game trailers and console features that will be available on the new PS5.
The new platform is said to have amazingly fast load times and extremely immersive experiences with its unique graphic system.
That showcase of the PlayStation 5 allowed viewers to see big blockbusters such as Final Fantasy XVI as well as new titles such as the Miles Morales Spider-Man game. These titles will surely give PlayStation 5 and Edge in the war on Microsoft and the Xbox console.
Along with the new Spider-Man experience, Hogwarts Legacy is set to release which is an open-world Harry Potter journey. Coupled with the new Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War, these games are sure to shore up PlayStations reach.
At the end of the showcase, fans were extremely pleased to find Playstation was releasing the game Ragnarok. This looks like a continuation of the God of War series. A solid move on Sony’s part.
Record Numbers Watch Showcase
Record numbers of viewers watch the showcase via twitch and YouTube. More than 4 million people tuned in to see what Sony and Playstation had in store for them in the future. Comparatively, only 2.5 million people showed up for Microsoft’s Xbox showcase this past July.
The PS5 model also has some great features that fans are truly excited about. One such new feature is the ability to still used disc-based play or digital play.
The PlayStation’s new DualSense wireless controller also allows players a new heightened and integrated experience.
Another addition that gamers are sure to love is the ability to still download PS4 games from a tailored selection PlayStation has put together. Titles in the collection include Bloodborne, God of War, Persona 5, Batman and a whole lot more.
Additional Game Releases Coming to PS5
Demon Souls
This remastered game will be available on launch and will feature a totally new engine. This makeover will present the new battle system and inevitably overhaul the series as well.
Devil May Cry 5
This special will release will still feature its infamous characters and amazing battle with a slew of demons and monsters.
Death Loop
This new title was announced to have a second quarter 2021 drop date. This time-warping adventure features awesome combat mechanics and a blistering time manipulation system.
Resident Evil 8
The iconic title also made an appearance and it looks like the drop date will be sometime in 2021. This follow-up to the last Resident Evil may be as wildly popular as its predecessor and should have as many spooky and fear-inducing gameplay as the last.
