The hit franchise known as “The Witcher” is constantly praised for being one of the most in-depth, dynamic and overall enjoyable series to date. On December 20, 2019, the esteemed monster hunter, Geralt of Rivia, received his own exclusive television series on Netflix.

Not only is the complete first season available to watch, the second one is too! And to make the experience even better, the show was approved for a third season. So, you’ll have more to look forward after you binge watch this epic series!

“Community”

If you’re looking for a show that’s a slice of life with some pointed humor, then you’re going to thoroughly enjoy “Community”. Though the show met its end in 2015,it’s still one of the most celebrated comedies to grace TV. The show begins with a lawyer named Jeff Winger, who’s played by comedian Joel McHale, being forced to enroll in community college after the bar discovers he faked his law degree.

From the first episode, he meets a colorful cast of diverse characters, like the ambitious and anxious Annie Edison and the unfiltered senior (literally) student, Pierce Hawtorne. You can enjoy this chaotic six-season show on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Hulu.

“Avatar: The Last Airbender”

“Avatar: The Last Airbender” is one of the oldest shows on this list and is the predecessor to “Avatar: Legend of Korra”. It’s also considered to be one of the greatest shows to ever be produced by Nickelodeon. The show saw its debut on February 5th, 2005 and ended on July 19th, 2008.

You’ll see the story of Aang, a boy who faces his destiny of being Avatar with siblings Katara and Sokka of the Water Tribe, the blind, Earth-bending prodigy Toph, and his animal companions, Appa the Bison and Momo the lemur.

There are three seasons for you to enjoy this action-packed, element-manipulating tale, which you can find on Paramount+, Amazon Prime video and Netflix.

“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba”

One thing we love about TV is how many new characters and fascinating universes it introduces us to. Nothing captures both more fully than the anime genre. Anime is where imagination comes to life. While there’s almost an endless amount of anime to watch, none has captured the hearts over the past year more than “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba”.

This series originated as a manga back during February 15th, 2016 and ended on May 18th, 2020 at 23 volumes. But before the manga ended, “Demon Slayer” got an anime adaptation on April 6th, 2019.

WARNING: If you’re not one for darker stories or anything with dark aspects, you might want to keep scrolling. “Demon Slayer” does have a gritty tone.

The story begins with the character Tanjiro Kamado, a boy who lives in the mountains with his family, notably his sister, Nezuko Kamado. However, things take a drastic turn for the worst when Tanjiro returns to find his entire family slaughtered by a demon named Muzan and his sister turned into one herself. From there, he sets out on a journey to cure his sister and avenge his family by defeating the Twelve Kizuki, who are the strongest demons commandeered by Muzan.

“Stranger Things”

Whether you lived through the 80s or not, experience the best the decade has to offer through the highly-atmospheric Netflix series. From a neon-bathed shopping mall to all the best pop-culture references, the small town of Hawkins, Indiana, recreates the past with a sci-fi twist.

The story begins with a young boy named Will Byers vanishing into thin air. This leads to the boy’s mother, Joyce Byers, setting out to find him by any means necessary. With the help of police chief Jim Hopper, they discover that the Hawkins National Laboratory isn’t all it seems to be.

Meanwhile, a young girl with telekinesis with the elusive name Eleven escapes from the labs and joins the cast. Through her eyes and unique skills, the children soon discover that life is far more than meets the eye. In fact, there’s an entire universe out there they’ve never even imagined possible.

“Stranger Things” saw its debut on July 15, 2016 and currently has three full seasons for you to enjoy. The fourth season is set to air sometime this year, which will ultimately conclude one of the most popular shows of the last decade.
