God of War Ragnarök Coming November 2022
After watching many State of Play events from PlayStation to learn of the launch date of God of War Ragnarök, we finally know the launch date.
June 2022 State of Play Updates and News
If anything is more telling even before the event begins, this State of Play was labeled “Rated RP – Mature” and required you to login to watch the video.
PlayStation VR2 was featured in a big way and highlight a lot of prominent games launching on the new VR console gear.
Amongst the games listed, Resident Evil and No Man’s Sky were the most exciting mentioned. I mean, I wonder where I left my transports. Would be exciting to find them on a VR headset.
Still no new updates on God of War Ragnarok or Hogwarts available during this State of Play. We can only hold our breaths until the actual launch dates.
PlayStation June 2022 State of Play Game Updates
Of all the games that were featured during the June 2022 State of Play, Final Fantasy 16 was the favorite for upcoming games. The Final Fantasy 16 update was definitely on my bucket list even though it was listed to launch in 2023, it did feature some exciting clips and a brief look at gameplay. The gameplay, while listed as not actual gameplay, seemed similar to Final Fantasy 15 battling and open world experience feel which is a exciting possibility with the news surrounding the game development.

It’s June already and PlayStation is bringing the excitement with a State of Play that will showcase PlayStation updates, new game reveals, first-glances, and updates on PlayStation’s next generation VR aka PlayStation VR2.

God of War Ragnarok

Babylon’s Fall is based on the iconic concept of climbing a tower battling monsters, finding treasure and saving those who live below the tower. I mean how many shows exist with that as the premise, so playing is a must. After 40 hours of gameplay, and raising my power up to level 60, you definitely get a better understanding of the game and basic gameplay as well as the changes you should make.
Change your controls. After an hour of pulling R2 & L2 to use your spectral attacks, it really starts to bother you. I find swooping R1 for R2 and L1 for L2 to be the most sensible modification to your controls. Id suggest you test your own controls when you start and find your comfort zone. Make sure you keep a handle on dodging if you choose to change controls the O button.
At the end of the level, you can convert your relics into treasure and weapons. Depending on your battling of enemies in areas, you are given bonus treasure and relics. This is a ascending to items power level attribution model. I found that even at power level 30, if you played the very first level, your relics max out at the lower power level of 20. So in order to get prefer power items, you will have to ascend the tower.

Weapons and Choices
You are a sentinel with 4 weapons you can equip at once. Main attack and a strong attack, 2 Spectral attacks. Find it best to equip a sword as your main attack, a hammer as your strong attack. As you increase in power, the stats make for the most effective battling. It is also important to say that as you increase in power, you may want to change your weapons based on weapon stats and to each there own. As for the spectral attacks, the biggest concern with weapon choice is amount of SP you use from you SP bar when you attack. Some weapons do not seem worth it because they reduce you SP bar but do not finish off enemies. I recommend at least one of your spectral weapons be an axe. The axe does multi-level damage to all enemies in the swing radius, it is not a huge drain on your SP bar. You can purchase the axe as your power grows to keep the same weapon in play. The second weapon should be a stave or if you prefer sending magic attacks, a wand weapon.Game Controls

Can you play Babylon’s Fall Solo?
This game can be played alone, but it is so hard once you get to a certain level in the tower. Having a team, really helps increase potential bonus on floors and defeat enemies. Honestly, no one likes doing a level over and over again, so bring a friend.Future Updates and Game Changes
With Babylon’s Fall feeling like a first version of FF14 and we are only in the first seasons, it is a hope that the next major updates will bring a real change the gameplay, story, and battling.Magic Parkour and Mayhem: Forspoken on PS5
Forspoken, announced in 2018 as a PS5 exclusive, is coming to PlayStation and PC this October.
The game follows Frey Holland, a young woman from New York City who finds herself pulled through a portal into the magical land of Athia. Athia suffers from the Break, a mystical fog that corrupts the creatures of the world into horrifying monsters and twists the landscape beyond recognition. Frey soon discovers that she is immune to the effects of the Break, and that she has been joined to a magical talking set of armbands named Cuff.
The world of Forspoken is ruled by corrupted sorceresses known as Tantas. To return home, Frey must use her immunity to the Break and harness new, magical abilities to combat the dangers that threaten Athia. Gameplay is based on traversal and combat, with Frey demonstrating dynamic magical parkour that carries her across the lush and detailed landscape. As the game progresses, Frey will gain access to more forms of magic that she will use for combat and locomotion between the various realms warped by the Break. Frey finds herself able to manipulate elements, control her speed and rate of fall, summon support creatures, and more as she navigates the twisted fairy tale world of Forspoken.
Developed by Luminous Productions, the team behind Final Fantasy XV, Forspoken takes full advantage of the PS5 to deliver jaw-dropping graphics and effects. Forspoken is an open-world role-playing game, with what Square Enix describes as a “narrative-driven adventure” at its core. There is a crafting element for upgrading Frey’s items and abilities, and new features are unlocked using in-game nail polish.
This game looks amazing. Forspoken utilizes ray-tracing and outstanding particle effects to drive home the kinetic image of Frey’s magic-fueled parkour as she bounds across mountains, forests, and abandoned cities. Between the climbing, the setting, and the role-playing narrative the game feels like a great fit for fans of modern Final Fantasy, Skyrim, and Uncharted.

Forspoken Coming this October 2022

WWE 2K22 Gameplay First-Thoughts
Visually there is nothing wrong with WWE 2K22. From the lighting and pyro to the new camera angles you feel like your at home watching an episode of WWE RAW. After years of hearing complaints of the controls slowing down the overall gameplay, WWE 2K22 took a step in the right direction. Moving more to a fighting game approach, the game focuses more on a combo style. Hogwarts Legacy Overview
Wands at the ready. Finally, a reason to take out my wand and my Ravenclaw scarf, Hogwarts Legacy updates are here from its feature in PlayStation’s State of Play and looks worth the wait. Let me start by saying the music brings back memories of the excitement from watching the Harry Potter and Sorcerer’s Stone the first time.
The video starts off with us finding ourselves at Hogwarts in the centuries of old, which is many years before Grindwald and Dumbledore. Your a new 5th year student at Hogwarts, and create your character and choose your house.
Hogwarts Legacy Gameplay
The gameplay itself is similar to all of the trailers with more refinement. It has an sorcerer in Elden Ring feel of selecting the target minus the expected deaths. We witness a battle where the character duels another student. You will need to master spells in order to move on in the game.
Spells and Combat
Some enemies may chant and other may deflect your attacks. There are trolls so physical attacks are still on the table. Mastering spells and becoming the ultimate duelists will be the main goal in the game.
Talents and Skills
Complete challenges throughout the world to upgrade talents and skills. You will be able to increase offense and defense with craft tools.

Hogwarts Legacy PlayStation State of Play
Coming March 17 is the second game featured event for PlayStation this year, Hogwarts Legacy PlayStation State of Play. The event is listed as being a 20-minute event with new PS5 gameplay, footage and a feature for highly anticipated Hogwarts Legacy game.
Taking a lesson from Gran Turismo 7 State of Play, this event will most likely not have any details on other anticipated games for PlayStation 5 that are scheduled to launch in 2022. Will this be the new normal or will every anticipated game get its on dedicated State of Play? Only time will tell…

Dawn of Ragnarok is the newest expansion for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla but did UbiSoft slack off, tread water or score a home run with this final leg? Keep reading to find out.
AC: Valhalla has several dreamworlds that help cement the franchise’s shift to historical fantasy. Dawn of Ragnarok has you taking to Svartalfheim as Odin finally shows up to deal with the Muspels for having kidnapped Baldr. This is an expansion that continues the mythological exploration provided by Asgard and Jotunheim in previous excursions. To be clear, this expansion has you playing as Odin for large portions and with a completely different cluster of systems, gear and abilities to sell that sort of power. This is the perfect elevation from the powers you enjoy in Valhalla’s endgame.
This expansion is intended for endgame users and it should not be started until the player has gotten the hang of Valhalla and finished its main quest. However, if you must, it does offer a recap of the Asgard and Jotunheim storylines and will even level you up to survivability if desired.
While the main campaign is a solid 15 hours, there is plenty to add even more hours like rescues, defeating alphas and certain world events. Diehard fans of the franchise will be pleased to know that this expansion has some new Isu lore.

Dawn of Ragnarok DLC Gameplay
For the most part, this is a stand-alone game where Odin hunts for Baldr. Sadly, Baldr is just a macguffin with little to sell the Odin-Baldr bond outside of exposition and text. The bulk of your time is spent dealing with dwarves, Jotuns and Muspels. As you play Odin and tend to dwarven refugees, you get a real sense of his character in service to his two goals: stop Ragnarok and find Baldr. You get some time with Eivor in Britain, where she is re-experiencing Odin’s memories through magic. Fortunately, you can jump back and forth between Eivor and Odin’s campaigns. If nothing else, coming back to Odin after playing as Eivor is a sobering reminder of Odin’s greater power if only because of his “Hugr-rip,” a trinket allowing you to play with fire, rebirth, teleportation and flight. The Hugr-rip requires fuel from a meter and refilling the meter requires combat, hunting or certain flowers. There are several fiery monoliths you can fly up to that yield enemies and useful upgrade items but you can also get punted off them, falling a good half-minute before impact. This happened to me and I was thankful for the new “Divine” gear that negates fall damage.The Verdict on Dawn of Ragnarok
