Wands at the ready. Finally, a reason to take out my wand and my Ravenclaw scarf, Hogwarts Legacy updates are here from its feature in PlayStation’s State of Play and looks worth the wait. Let me start by saying the music brings back memories of the excitement from watching the Harry Potter and Sorcerer’s Stone the first time.
The video starts off with us finding ourselves at Hogwarts in the centuries of old, which is many years before Grindwald and Dumbledore. Your a new 5th year student at Hogwarts, and create your character and choose your house.
Hogwarts Legacy Gameplay
The gameplay itself is similar to all of the trailers with more refinement. It has an sorcerer in Elden Ring feel of selecting the target minus the expected deaths. We witness a battle where the character duels another student. You will need to master spells in order to move on in the game.
Spells and Combat
Some enemies may chant and other may deflect your attacks. There are trolls so physical attacks are still on the table. Mastering spells and becoming the ultimate duelists will be the main goal in the game.
Talents and Skills
Complete challenges throughout the world to upgrade talents and skills. You will be able to increase offense and defense with craft tools.
Magical Beasts
Will be a foundation of the game to defeat and to use as you might get a horse or Hippocrate in the game.Potions and Ingredients
There are shops and ways to create and modify potions.Broom Flight
Mastering broom flight is highly recommended to travel the world.
Room of Requirement
Full use of the room of requirement for plants, potions and gear upgrades.Dungeons, Passageways and Locations

Dawn of Ragnarok Overview
AC: Valhalla has several dreamworlds that help cement the franchise’s shift to historical fantasy. Dawn of Ragnarok has you taking to Svartalfheim as Odin finally shows up to deal with the Muspels for having kidnapped Baldr. This is an expansion that continues the mythological exploration provided by Asgard and Jotunheim in previous excursions. To be clear, this expansion has you playing as Odin for large portions and with a completely different cluster of systems, gear and abilities to sell that sort of power. This is the perfect elevation from the powers you enjoy in Valhalla’s endgame.
This expansion is intended for endgame users and it should not be started until the player has gotten the hang of Valhalla and finished its main quest. However, if you must, it does offer a recap of the Asgard and Jotunheim storylines and will even level you up to survivability if desired.
Dawn of Ragnarok DLC Gameplay
For the most part, this is a stand-alone game where Odin hunts for Baldr. Sadly, Baldr is just a macguffin with little to sell the Odin-Baldr bond outside of exposition and text. The bulk of your time is spent dealing with dwarves, Jotuns and Muspels. As you play Odin and tend to dwarven refugees, you get a real sense of his character in service to his two goals: stop Ragnarok and find Baldr. You get some time with Eivor in Britain, where she is re-experiencing Odin’s memories through magic. Fortunately, you can jump back and forth between Eivor and Odin’s campaigns. If nothing else, coming back to Odin after playing as Eivor is a sobering reminder of Odin’s greater power if only because of his “Hugr-rip,” a trinket allowing you to play with fire, rebirth, teleportation and flight. The Hugr-rip requires fuel from a meter and refilling the meter requires combat, hunting or certain flowers. There are several fiery monoliths you can fly up to that yield enemies and useful upgrade items but you can also get punted off them, falling a good half-minute before impact. This happened to me and I was thankful for the new “Divine” gear that negates fall damage. The Verdict on Dawn of Ragnarok
While the main campaign is a solid 15 hours, there is plenty to add even more hours like rescues, defeating alphas and certain world events. Diehard fans of the franchise will be pleased to know that this expansion has some new Isu lore.
- Now for the drawbacks and oddities.
- Raiding is back, albeit with Eivor’s old crew for some reason.
- There’s a new gear arena that tries to spice up grinding with modifiers.
- The ending is more “thud” than proper closure.
Elden Ring Review
Elden Ring Character Overview
Players begin their epic journey by creating their own custom character. You have 10 classes to choose from, which includes:
- Hero
- Bandit
- Vagabond
- Astrologer
- Warrior
- Prisoner
- Confessor
- Prophet
- Samurai
- Wretch
Elden Ring Gameplay
Once you’ve created your character, the story begins with the fabled Elden Ring being destroyed. Your character will traverse “Game of Thrones” creator George R. R. Martin’s new world, which is known as the Lands Between.
Tarnished are individuals who have seemingly lost the blessing of the Erdtree, which resulted in their banishment from the Lands Between. But since the ring was shattered, the Tarnished are guided back to the Lands Between because of lost grace.
The Lands Between is vast with tons of exploration, challenging bosses to overcome and dungeons to crawl. Even the first area can take you hours to explore. Something else that makes this game so intuitive is that if you’re stuck on an area or boss, the game doesn’t lock you into it. You can go do something else until you’re prepared.
The combat in this game functions similarly to “Dark Souls”. You can equip one-handed or two-handed weapons, cast magic and defend yourself with shields. If you’re familiar with “Dark Souls 3”, you might recall the inclusion of weapon arts.
In this game, they make a return under the guise of Ashes of War. They’re add-ons you equip to a weapon to make it more effective in combat. They can scale your damage output, add an element to it, and give it a unique skill. If there’s a boss you’re having trouble with, Ashes of War can give you a serious edge.
You can also dungeon crawl and take on difficult bosses alongside your friends with the implementation of multiplayer. Or you can treat them like every other enemy, and destroy them in PvP. Just make sure you have the appropriate Fingers first.
The Verdict on Elden Ring

Horizon Forbidden West Review
Overview
When players boot up this game up for the first time, they’ll be placed in the shoes of Aloy, a member of the Nora Tribe, once again. Forbidden West takes place about six months after the events of the first game. An unknown plague known as the “red blight” has surfaced and is killing everything it infects. Aloy takes it upon herself, as well as some new companions, to venture out to the Forbidden West and find the source of it.Gameplay
Many gameplay elements of Zero Dawn, like the Focus and overriding hostile machine animals, and crafting return in Forbidden West along with a few new additions. One of the most notable additions is the ability to now ride on flying machines, which gives you a bird’s eye view of the vast and scenic world. Throughout your journey, you can expect to encounter 43 types of machines with 22 of them being brand new additions to the roster. Some of the new additions include the Burrower, a quadrupedal machine based on an otter and Slaughterspine, a massive Spinosaurus-like machine that attacks with plasma shockwaves. Joining these dangerous new mechanoids are enemies you’ve encountered in Zero Dawn, like Behemoths, Frostclaws and Thunderjaws. Since exploration is a major component, fans of the series will be thrilled to know there’s more to discover than there was in the first game. Players can now go explore under the lakes, rivers and seas they come across. In fact, the map itself is bigger than it previously was. Horizon Zero Dawn’s map was around four miles long. Forbidden West’s map is about five miles long, so exploring everything will take some time. The combat system is also more innovative and polished in Forbidden West. There’s a new feature called Valor Surge, which are temporary abilities granted once a player has unlocked all the surrounding skills. Each surge is different as they’re all designed to fit a certain playstyle. If you want to have a more stealth-oriented experience, Stealth Stalker is the way to go. Feel like you’re taking too much damage? Then, the Overshield will soak it up for you. The combat is a lot more diverse this time around, so take your time with it and find which play style best suits you.
The Takeaway
Horizon Forbidden West improves upon the old while not completely overshadowing it. Everything you loved in the first game is back and better than ever. Compelling characters, breathtaking areas, frightening enemies, in-depth storyline, and an enthralling soundtrack, Horizon Forbidden West is a game you definitely want to add to your collection!Horizon Forbidden West Videos
Horizon Forbidden West GameplayPokemon Legends: Arceus Review
Pokemon Legends: Arceus Overview
We’ll say it. This is one of the best games released in the last decade, and it’s definitely one of the best Pokémon games to ever grace the franchise. Despite the doubts its semi-rough beta trailer created, the final product doesn’t fall short of incredible.
If you’ve played “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild”, or you’re a fan of open-world games in general, then “Pokémon Legends: Arceus” is the perfect introduction to the series. Past titles followed a similar formula; you had eight gym leaders to defeat, an evil organization to take down, and, finally, a Champion to battle.
It’s a whole new world in “Pokémon Legends: Arceus”. The game begins with you finding yourself stranded in the vast Hisui region filled with wild and aggressive Pokémon. You join the Galaxy Team as a member of the Survey Corps to uncover the never-ending mystery of Pokémon What starts off as simple survey work eventually turns into a legendary tale and sheds light on the history of the Sinnoh Region.
The Mechanics
The premise of the game remains the same — catching them all. However, the mechanics of the game take this to a whole new level. Rather than run around in the tall grass hoping for a certain Pokémon to appear, they completely swarm the overworld.
Speaking of the tall grass, it has now become a useful tool for observing, sneaking and reducing potential aggro. You can even shift their attention by throwing a berry or stunning them with a Spoiled Apricord for a much easier catch.
The Alpha Pokémon you can encounter coin the phrase “size does matter.” Be sure to be on the lookout for the space-time distortions to encounter Pokémon you wouldn’t see normally.
Pokémon Legends is a game that redefines the entire franchise. Run around, explore, sneak or battle your way to complete the region’s first-ever Pokédex. Embrace the beautiful and diverse lands of Hisui, and become attached to a whole cast of colorful characters such as Professor Laventon, Rei/Akari and the obvious ancestor to Professor Rowan, Commander Kamado.
Final Verdict
Pokémon Legends: Arceus is a fantastic addition to the franchise. Old time fans will fall in love all over again, and newcomers will experience the best possible introduction to the world of Pokémon. On top of that, the game’s beautiful art style, charming characters and fluid controls make it a solid addition to any gamer’s collection.YouTube Channel Videos

“The Book of Boba Fett”
If you love all the action and drama of “Star Wars” and “The Mandalorian”, you won’t want to miss “The Book of Boba Fett”.
The galaxy’s favorite bounty hunter finally received the recognition he deserves by getting a series dedicated to him. In “The Mandalorian”, the illustrious son of Jango Fett made his grand appearance back into the spotlight.
After a sequence of events within the Mandalorian’s show, we got a teaser that depicted Boba taking the throne that once belonged to Jabba the Hutt. On December 29th, 2021, the series officially launched, and you can now catch four out of the seven slated episodes on Disney+.
“The Witcher”
The hit franchise known as “The Witcher” is constantly praised for being one of the most in-depth, dynamic and overall enjoyable series to date. On December 20, 2019, the esteemed monster hunter, Geralt of Rivia, received his own exclusive television series on Netflix.
Not only is the complete first season available to watch, the second one is too! And to make the experience even better, the show was approved for a third season. So, you’ll have more to look forward after you binge watch this epic series!
“Community”
If you’re looking for a show that’s a slice of life with some pointed humor, then you’re going to thoroughly enjoy “Community”. Though the show met its end in 2015,it’s still one of the most celebrated comedies to grace TV. The show begins with a lawyer named Jeff Winger, who’s played by comedian Joel McHale, being forced to enroll in community college after the bar discovers he faked his law degree. From the first episode, he meets a colorful cast of diverse characters, like the ambitious and anxious Annie Edison and the unfiltered senior (literally) student, Pierce Hawtorne. You can enjoy this chaotic six-season show on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Hulu.“Avatar: The Last Airbender”
“Avatar: The Last Airbender” is one of the oldest shows on this list and is the predecessor to “Avatar: Legend of Korra”. One thing we love about TV is how many new characters and fascinating universes it introduces us to. Nothing captures both more fully than the anime genre. Anime is where imagination comes to life. This series originated as a manga back during February 15th, 2016 and ended on May 18th, 2020 at 23 volumes. But before the manga ended, “Demon Slayer” got an anime adaptation on April 6th, 2019. WARNING: If you’re not one for darker stories or anything with dark aspects, you might want to keep scrolling. “Demon Slayer” does have a gritty tone. The story begins with the character Tanjiro Kamado, a boy who lives in the mountains with his family, notably his sister, Nezuko Kamado. However, things take a drastic turn for the worst when Tanjiro returns to find his entire family slaughtered by a demon named Muzan and his sister turned into one herself. From there, he sets out on a journey to cure his sister and avenge his family by defeating the Twelve Kizuki, who are the strongest demons commandeered by Muzan.“Stranger Things”

Meanwhile, a young girl with telekinesis with the elusive name Eleven escapes from the labs and joins the cast. Through her eyes and unique skills, the children soon discover that life is far more than meets the eye.
