Paint anyone? Splatoon 3 is out and it is the perfect game to pick up on Nintendo Switch this holiday season. The game brings a great take to a shooting game but without the blood and gore but a code of paint. With its September 9th release, it has had a few updates to correct gameplay issues and a number of jam packed Splatfest over the weekend.
Beginning Gameplay of Splatoon 3
Like previous versions for Splatoon, your game experience begins with learning the ropes. You will be required to create your character and customize them. The character selection is pretty limited but still has a personal touch. After your are set, you will be given a beginner weapon to learn how to shoot targets, the basics for paint and their impacts if you’re on a different color paint then your current paint color, movement and aiming at targets.
Weapons, Gear and Battle Tips
Like all shooting games, your weapon is based on your preference and battle style. From a sniper paint gun to a sword paint gun to dual wielding guns, there are countless options to choose from. Weapons come with different skills and improve as you level up in the game. What you wear while stylish, has its benefits. What you wear from head gear to your footwear also have skills and bonuses that vary by the item. Make sure you try out different skills to get your feel for the right protections and perks in game battle.
Today’s Nintendo Direct featured a variety of exciting new titles coming this holiday season, with the most noticeable title being The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the kingdom which is set to release on May 12 2023.

Today at 10am EST, Nintendo will be featuring its next showcase in its Nintendo Direct. The event is scheduled for 40 minutes of what’s to come for Nintendo in Late 2022 and beyond.
With the highly anticipated The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 still under wraps, it’s hoped that the event will give a launch date to the possibly the next big game for Nintendo. Other great features as well and crossover are expected to mention during the event.
Going up against Arcanine in Legends Arceus has been one of the toughest battles in the game up to this point. To defeat Lord of the Isles, Arcanine, is a fire type that will rush you and then throw fire bombs at you from a distance. It is important that you keep moving and avoid staying in the middle. Arcanine will do a slam toward the middle every so often and signals it before he jumps. You want to be far away from the center before he jumps so keep running from one side to another. From the rushes Arcanine does, you want to wait just until he has a lock on you, then move to one side out of his path.
Attacking Strategy on the Lord of the Isles, Arcanine in Legends: Arceus
How to beat Lord of the Isles, Arcanine is set with a pattern. The pattern is dodge, dodge, dodge and then attack with the powder bags. After Arcanine is dazed, throw a strong water type pokemon and hit him with a strong attack. So long as your Pokemon is close to the max level you can manage at this point, it should set the next attack phase. After the second round of attacks a fire ring will appear in the middle. You need to avoid going to the middle to not take damage. This will be the final bout, after a string of rushes, Arcanine will jump to the other side of the ring depending on where you are. Will will have to pass to the fire ring to get close enough to hit him so you can hit him with the powder and your final pokemon attack. If you find he has some health left, just keep throwing the powder bags and you should finish him off. Good luck and hope this helps in the battle with Arcanine in Legends: Arceus.
Overwatch 2 on PS5 is set to launch on October 4th as a free to play PS5 game.
If you’re a gamer, chances are there’s a console in your home and one of the most anticipated upcoming video games is Overwatch 2 for PS5. And if you’re planning to buy an Xbox Series S and are in need of a sweet new titles, then Overwatch 2 is going to be one of the first games you should get.
First of all, it’s an FPS (first-person shooter) game where you are the leader of a group of heroes fighting off a team of villains. There will be close to twenty different heroes to choose from, each with their own abilities, skills and weapons. You can play in three modes: the story mode, the random skirmish mode and the custom game modes. The action is fast and furious as you will be facing off against other players in multiplayer or against a computer-controlled AI that gets smarter as you battle them.

While Overwatch 2 is coming out on PC, it’s also coming out on PS4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox one as well. This means you can play online and with your friends or against computer controlled opponents on your favorite multiplayer game or even be able to play offline if you just want to experience the story mode. You can also get it on Nintendo Switch, but because it’s not yet out in stores there is no way to know how well it works in the current console hybrid.

God of War Ragnarök Game Preview with Release Date
The game preview that is not actual gameplay opens up the idea of Kratos and Atreus (Loki) having to take on a giant wolf that Norse lore would have be his son. Since Kratos was never apart of Norse Lore, it would stand that the idea that young Atreus would be a father might be metalogical than biological.
Perhaps this is his the journey his mother set him out on to defeat the Norse Gods by forcing the remaining Giants to submit to his might? Or maybe the wolf needs to be forced to swallow the sun? Only time will tell the true story of God of War Ragnarök this November 2022.

PlayStation June 2022 State of Play Game Updates
Of all the games that were featured during the June 2022 State of Play, Final Fantasy 16 was the favorite for upcoming games. The Final Fantasy 16 update was definitely on my bucket list even though it was listed to launch in 2023, it did feature some exciting clips and a brief look at gameplay. The gameplay, while listed as not actual gameplay, seemed similar to Final Fantasy 15 battling and open world experience feel which is a exciting possibility with the news surrounding the game development.PlayStation VR2 was featured in a big way and highlight a lot of prominent games launching on the new VR console gear. Amongst the games listed, Resident Evil and No Man’s Sky were the most exciting mentioned. I mean, I wonder where I left my transports. Would be exciting to find them on a VR headset.Still no new updates on God of War Ragnarok or Hogwarts available during this State of Play. We can only hold our breaths until the actual launch dates.

Babylon’s Fall is based on the iconic concept of climbing a tower battling monsters, finding treasure and saving those who live below the tower. I mean how many shows exist with that as the premise, so playing is a must. After 40 hours of gameplay, and raising my power up to level 60, you definitely get a better understanding of the game and basic gameplay as well as the changes you should make.

Weapons and Choices
You are a sentinel with 4 weapons you can equip at once. Main attack and a strong attack, 2 Spectral attacks. Find it best to equip a sword as your main attack, a hammer as your strong attack. As you increase in power, the stats make for the most effective battling. It is also important to say that as you increase in power, you may want to change your weapons based on weapon stats and to each there own.
As for the spectral attacks, the biggest concern with weapon choice is amount of SP you use from you SP bar when you attack. Some weapons do not seem worth it because they reduce you SP bar but do not finish off enemies. I recommend at least one of your spectral weapons be an axe. The axe does multi-level damage to all enemies in the swing radius, it is not a huge drain on your SP bar. You can purchase the axe as your power grows to keep the same weapon in play. The second weapon should be a stave or if you prefer sending magic attacks, a wand weapon.
Game Controls
Change your controls. After an hour of pulling R2 & L2 to use your spectral attacks, it really starts to bother you. I find swooping R1 for R2 and L1 for L2 to be the most sensible modification to your controls. Id suggest you test your own controls when you start and find your comfort zone. Make sure you keep a handle on dodging if you choose to change controls the O button.
Relics and treasure
At the end of the level, you can convert your relics into treasure and weapons. Depending on your battling of enemies in areas, you are given bonus treasure and relics. This is a ascending to items power level attribution model. I found that even at power level 30, if you played the very first level, your relics max out at the lower power level of 20. So in order to get prefer power items, you will have to ascend the tower.
Can you play Babylon’s Fall Solo?
This game can be played alone, but it is so hard once you get to a certain level in the tower. Having a team, really helps increase potential bonus on floors and defeat enemies. Honestly, no one likes doing a level over and over again, so bring a friend.
Future Updates and Game Changes
With Babylon’s Fall feeling like a first version of FF14 and we are only in the first seasons, it is a hope that the next major updates will bring a real change the gameplay, story, and battling.
Forspoken, announced in 2018 as a PS5 exclusive, is coming to PlayStation and PC this October.
The game follows Frey Holland, a young woman from New York City who finds herself pulled through a portal into the magical land of Athia. Developed by Luminous Productions, the team behind Final Fantasy XV, Forspoken takes full advantage of the PS5 to deliver jaw-dropping graphics and effects. There is a crafting element for upgrading Frey’s items and abilities, and new features are unlocked using in-game nail polish.
